Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Justin Hermes was immersed in real estate from a young age. Following in the footsteps of his father, John Hermes, he returned to the Springs over 12 years ago to join the family business. In 2023, Justin launched his own brokerage, The Property Group, continuing a proud legacy of real estate excellence in the region. Justin has been recognized by The Gazette as the Best of the Springs Realtor, earning the honor back-to-back based on reader votes. He has also been nationally acknowledged by RealTrends as ranking among the top 1.49% of real estate agents in the United States.
In addition to his work as a Realtor and broker, Justin hosts Real Estate Realities, a weekly radio show on KRDO where he shares expert insights and helps educate the local community on market trends. His deep commitment to Colorado Springs is reflected in his ongoing support of veterans, local law enforcement, and a wide range of charitable causes. In his free time, Justin enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, and spending time with his wife, Samantha, and their daughter, Caroline.

A Minnesota native, John has been proudly serving the Colorado Springs real estate market since 1984. With over 1,000 families helped throughout his career, he brings decades of experience, dedication, and local expertise to every transaction. Before joining Justin at The Property Group, John spent over 25 years with RE/MAX, where he built a reputation for excellence and earned a place in the prestigious RE/MAX Hall of Fame. He is known for his unwavering commitment to elite customer service and his genuine passion for helping people find a place to call home. When he’s not assisting clients, John enjoys quality time with his wife of over 30 years, Marnie. He’s an avid golfer, a loyal Rockies fan, and loves spending time in the Colorado mountains. 

Originally from Texas, Stephanie has proudly called Colorado home for over 30 years. She joined the Hermes Group 25 years ago, starting alongside John Hermes in a two-person office. Prior to her time in real estate, Stephanie gained valuable experience in both banking and retail.
Today, she plays an essential role in supporting Justin with the real estate side of the business, assisting with contracts, deadlines, scheduling, and organization. She is also deeply involved with the property management side, helping ensure smooth communication and coordination between tenants, owners, buyers, and sellers. Stephanie has been married to Craig Sawall for over a decade. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, camping, and curling up with a good book.

A Colorado native with roots in Germany, Kobie brings a unique blend of cultural perspective, people-first service, and a passion for real estate to his role as a Realtor. After years of bartending and helping others improve their lives, Kobie found his calling in real estate—where building relationships and guiding clients through the market come naturally. He hit the ground running and has ranked in the top 5% of Colorado Realtors every year since he began. He has closed over $500 million in loans and is recognized as a top originator, known for structuring complex financing and saving borrowers significant money through strategic refinances. As an investor and property manager himself, Gary has owned and managed over 21 rental properties, giving him firsthand insight into returns, tenant relations, and asset protection. His experience as a real estate agent allows him to negotiate strong deals and guide clients through smooth, successful transactions.

Driven, competitive, and solutions-oriented, Gary draws on a lifelong background in sports to fuel his work ethic. He is deeply connected to the Colorado Springs community, active in his church, and a former board member of the Broadmoor Skating Club. Having spent over 12 years working in her family’s commercial flooring business, Samantha now channels her creativity and organization into marketing for The Property Group. In her free time, she loves cheering on her alma mater, Kansas State, during football season and spending quality time with her husband, Justin, and their daughter, Caroline.
